Counting by 6s means adding six to previous number or jump by 6. Each number is 6 more than the previous number. if the 1st number is an odd number then the next number after adding 6 will be an odd number. And if the 1st number is an even number then the next number will be an even number. Example: Counting by 6's
If the 1st number is 7 then next 5 numbers obtained by counting by 6's are; 7, 7 + 6 =13; 13 + 6 =19; 19 + 6 =25; 25 + 6 = 31; 31 + 6 =37
So next 5 numbers after 7 are 13,19,25,31,37.

Example 1 : Find the next 3 numbers after 22 by counting it by 6's. Solution : 1st number = 22 + 6 = 28
2nd number = 28 + 6 = 34
3rd number = 34 + 6 = 40
So next 3 numbers after 22 are : 28,34,40.

Example 2 : Find the missing numbers. 15,21,____,____,____,____. Solution : 1st number is 15 and next number is 21 so from this we can see that its counting by 6's
. That means after adding 6 to previous number we will get the next number. So,
1st missing number = 21 + 6 =27
2nd missing number = 27 + 6 = 33
3rd missing number = 33 + 6 = 39
4th missing number = 39 + 6 = 45
So the number are 15,21,27,33,39,45.

Example 3 : Complete the following pattern.
12,18,24,____,____,____ Solution : In 12,18 and 24 the gap of 6. That means by adding 6 we get a next number. So, 1st missing number is 24 + 6 = 30, 2nd missing number is 30 + 6 =36 and 3rd missing number is 36 + 6 = 42. Series is 12,18,24,30,36,42.
