# Volume of Irregular Shape

The volume of irregular shape is calculated by number of blocks present in it.**Example 1:**

Find the volume of the above shape considering that each side is of length 1unit.

**Solution :**Count the number of blocks.

1st layer = 5

2nd layer = 5

3rd layer = 2

4th layer = 2

5th layer = 2

6th layer = 2

∴ Volume = 5 + 5 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 18 cu.units.

**Example 2:**

Find the volume of the above shape considering that each side is of length 1unit.

**Solution :**Count the number of blocks.

1st layer = 4

2nd layer = 2

∴ Volume = 4 + 2 = 6 cu.units

Find the volume of the above shape considering that each side is of length 1unit.

**Solution :**Count the number of blocks.

1st layer = 1

2nd layer = 3

3rd layer = 4

4th layer = 6

∴ Volume = 1 + 3 + 4 + 6 = 14 cu.units.

Find the volume of the above shape considering that each side is of length 1unit.

**Solution :**Count the number of blocks.

1st layer = 5

2nd layer = 12

∴ Volume = 5 + 12 = 17 cu. Units.

**Solution :**Count the number of blocks.

1st layer = 1

2nd layer = 1

3rd layer = 1

4th layer = 4

∴ Volume = 1 + 1 + 1 + 4 = 7 cu. Units.
