6th grade math worksheets

In 6th grade math worksheets, our focus is on five main areas. 1) Different forms of number as whole numbers and integers ( negative and positive numbers). 2) Connecting ratio and whole number multiplication and division. 3) Introduction to Algebra 4) Construction (using ruler, protractor and compass). 5) Some more solid shapes. 6) More about data handing.
1) Different forms of number as whole numbers and its properties (commutative, associative, distributive, additive identity multiplicative identity)
2) Negative and positive numbers called Integer. Give the proper sign to a number according to the given data. Representation of integers on the number line comparison of integers.
3) In fractions real life word problems and representation of fraction on the number line.
4) Students use the concept of multiplication and division for solving ratios and problems based on rates. Ratio is like a fraction and using this we can make equivalent fractions. Using equivalent fractions students can analyze the simple drawings and its relative size of quantities.
5) Introduction to variable through pattern and appropriate word problems and generalizations. They also write the expressions, equations corresponding to the given situation , evaluate an expression. Students learn how to find the solution and that the solutions of an equation are the values of the variables that make the equation true.
6) Here the concept of construction is bit different than that students have studied in fifth grade. Here some standard angles can be drawn without using protractor.
