LengthCovid-19 has led the world to go through a phenomenal transition . E-learning is the future today. Stay Home , Stay Safe and keep learning!!! In the following table of Length , all the units are arranged from small units to Big units.Millimeter is the smallest unit and Kilometer is the biggest unit.
S B D Small → Big → ÷ OR B S M Big → Small → X Example:- 1) Convert 2520 m in km. Solution : Here, 2520 m is in smaller unit as compare to km> ∴ From above S(Small)→ B(Big) →÷ ⇒ from the table 1m = 0.001 km ∴ 2520 m = 2520 / 1000 = 2.52 km _______________________________________________________________ 2) Convert 3 m to cm. Solution : Here meter is bigger unit than cm Big(B) → Small(S) → X ∴ 1m = 100 cm ⇒ 3 m = 3 x 100 = 300 cm ________________________________________________________________ 3) Convert 125 mm to cm. Solution : Here millimeter(mm) is smaller unit than cm Small(S) → Big(B) → ÷ (division) ∴ 1cm = 10 mm ⇒ 125 mm = 125 ÷ 10 = 12.5 cm ________________________________________________________________ 4) A grasshopper which can go 25 cm with one hop would have gone how many meters in 75 hops? Solution: 75 x 25 = 1875 cm would have been covered. As we want the answer in meter and cm is smaller unit than meter. So S → B → ÷ ∴ 1875 cm = 1875 / 100 = 18.75m The grasshopper would have gone 18.75 m. ________________________________________________________________ 5) If each ant is 8 mm in length, how long is the line in cm if in a line there are 11 ants? Solution : 11 x 8 = 88 mm long. millimeter is smaller unit than centimeter. So S → B → ÷ ∴ 88 mm = 88 /10 = 0.8 cm Measurements Length Weight Capacity Covid-19 has affected physical interactions between people. Don't let it affect your learning.
