Comparing Numbers
Comparing numbers means from the given two numbers which number is greater and which number is smaller. Some times the two numbers are equal. So according to the greater, smaller or equal we put the sign between the two numbers.
> ------> Greater than
< ------> Less than
= ------> Equal
While counting the numbers, the number which comes first that number is smaller than the next number.
Example 1 : 58 49
Solution :
58 has 5 tens and 8 ones.
49 has 4 tens and 9 ones.
So
58 ( is greater than ) 49
↓
sign as
↓
58 > 49
Hence 49 ( is less than ) 58
↓
sign as
↓
49 < 58 .

66 has 6 tens and 6 ones.
68 has 6 tens and 8 ones. ---------> (Same tens but more one)
So
68 ( is greater than ) 66
↓
sign as
↓
68 > 66
Hence 66 ( is less than ) 68
