Jack : It is one of the card, from a pack of 52 cards. There are 4 jacks in playing cards. Jack of heart(), jack of spade (♠), jack of club(♣) and jack of diamond(). It is used in probability.

January : First month of a year.

Join : Two points join to form a line segment.

Joint variation : It is used in direct and inverse variation.
For example : If a ∝ b and a ∝ 1/c then a ∝ b/c. Here a is directly proportion to b and inversely proportion to c so a is in joint variation with b and c.

Jump strategy : Jumping by parts of a number to solve a calculation.It is used in number line.
Example : Addition of 4 + 5 on the number line.
Solution : Step : Mark 4 on the number line
Jump 5 units to right side from 4

Justify: Show to be right.

July: One of the month with 31 days.

June : One of the month with 30 days.

Kilo- : A prefix meaning one thousand.

Kilogram : A Metric measure of mass.
The abbreviation is kg.
1 kg = 1,000 grams
1 kg = 2.205 pounds (approximately)

Kilolitre / Kiloliter : A Metric measure of volume. Equal to 1,000 liters.
The abbreviation is kl.

Kilometre | Kilometer : A Metric measure of distance. Equal to 1,000 meters.
The abbreviation is km.

Kite : It has two pairs of sides.
Each pair is made up of adjacent sides (the sides meet) that are equal in length.
The angles are equal where the pairs meet.
Diagonals (dashed lines) meet at a right angle, and one of the diagonal bisects (cuts equally in half) the other.


km/h : An abbreviation of "kilometers per hour". A metric measure of speed.
