Order Property Of Multiplication

In order property of multiplication, the order is not important. That means if we change the place of a number the answer will remain the same.

According to the 1st diagram , there are four groups each group contains three dots. So it will be
4 x 3 = 12

According to the 2nd diagram , there are three groups each group contains four dots. So it will be
3 x 4 = 12

From the above we can conclude that , if you change the place of a number in multiplication the answer remains the same. That means the order doesn’t matter.

What is the answer of ?

2 x 4

So easy !

2 x 4 = 8

Now we will see, if the numbers are switched.

4 x 2 = 8

Oh ! its same as above.

So we conclude that :
2 x 4 = 4 x 2
