Using Movement to Get Ready For Multiplication Example 1: Teacher asks 10 children to join the game. She explains that they run with the music and listen to the instruction when it stops. Music Stops Get together in 2's. How many groups? Solution : 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 10 The Children count 5 . So 5 groups of 2 = 10 Music Starts After some seconds Music Stops Get together in 5's. How many groups? Solution : As the number of children are 10 so 2 groups of 5. 5 + 5 = 10 The Children count 2 .
